We wanted to take some time to share our most recent successful flip! With this flip, like many others, it was important to survey the entire home to get an idea of the work we had ahead of us. We love the look of this home, as it’s a great compromise between traditional and modern. The previous tenants left the home in ill-repair, and it’s important for us at Starting Point Real Estate to insure that the home is made both structurally sound, and aesthetically pleasing.

We added curb appeal to the front of this light brick home by changing the front exterior entry way colors. By making the door a fresh black color, and brightening up the existing white trim, everything pops against the brick exterior making this home appear as though it’s had a “face lift.” Freshening up landscaping, and removing any of the wear and tear on the soffit and fascia also adds some additional interest to the property.

The rear exterior had an existing deck that needed some additions. We added a simply, sturdy, and appealing outdoor deck space for the new owners to enjoy for many years to come. With some built in planters, safe railings, and sturdy steps- this is sure to be a favorite hangout for the future homeowners. We also brightened up the back of the home with a fresh coat of white paint, removing any of the aged exterior color.

We added updated fixtures to the kitchen, which we found already had a nice foundation. Beautiful light colored cabinets contrast to the tile backsplash that already existed in this flip. Saving time and money, these cabinets were worth keeping, and make a beautiful kitchen in this home.

The bedrooms in this home were painted dark colors, making the rooms appear smaller, and aged. We freshened up the bedroom wall colors with crisp, neutral paint which makes the rooms appear lighter, and more spacious.

With any flip, your priority is to restore the home to its natural beauty while staying well within your budget. Painting rooms, freshening the exterior, and adding updated appliances, flooring, and fixtures are all great ways to breathe new life into your next flip.
